The search option is getting easier on the iPad. You used to have to swipe from the middle of the page. Now you just swipe down from the top of the screen to find the Search field.
Have you ever wanted to scan a webpage for a word or phrase…Here is a quick trick!
Step #1. Tap on the Safari icon from the Home Screen on your iPad.
Step #2. Type in the site name you want to browse on your Safari address/search bar, and it will open to the page.
Step #3. Tap in the address/search bar again.
Step #4. Start typing a word or phrase you want to find on the webpage.
Step #5. The moment you type in a word/phrase, you will get three different results: Google Search, Bookmarks and History, and On This Page. (Hide the keyboard so you can scroll down and see all the options)
Step #6. The last one, ON THIS PAGE, is the result you are looking for.
Step #7. Under ON THIS PAGE, tap on the Find “Word.”
Step #8. You can now see the webpage you were browsing; the first ‘word” found is highlighted in yellow. At the bottom left, there are two navigation arrows so you can search for the word in the rest of the article.
Step #9. Tap on the right navigation arrow to find the word or phrase you were looking.for.
Step #10. Once you are done, tap on “Done” at the bottom right.
Note: Please ensure that after typing a word or phrase in the address bar, do not press ‘Go’ button on the keyboard. This will take you to the search results.
