There is, in fact, an option to undo a typing error on the iPad; it’s hidden in the iPad keyboard. Here’s how to get to each of them. Grab an iPad and launch an app that does text input, like Notes. Tap into a text editing field and type something. Once you’ve typed something in, tap the “.?123” button in the lower left corner of the keyboard, and you’ll see the undo option. Tap it to undo whatever it is you just typed and then you can start typing again.

My son has an android phone with a swipe keyboard (you swipe from letter to letter, you don’t type) and for a year now, he and I have been racing each other on our keyboards, I am using the regular built-in Apple keyboard. Now, finally, the Google swipe keyboard is out for the Apple as an app! Check it out!
